At BOSASA IFM, we are proudly South African and have always been committed to the social development and upliftment of our country’s people. We’ve demonstrated this through the skills training programmes we provide to our employees, as well as our passion for offering opportunities to those who need them most. It’s as a result of this that our company has been recognised by several key Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Corporation auditors.

In order to further our contribution and influence, BOSASA IFM has established a successful relationship with the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) authentication bureau, Empowerdex. This group is an independent body, which belongs to the Association of BEE Verification Agencies (ABVA). With their assistance and support, the BOSASA Group of companies has successfully obtained a Level 2 BBBEE status and a recognition rating of 125%.

How this Affects BOSASA IFM (Full Facilities Management)

Recruiting personnel with the appropriate skills at all levels is crucial to the Group in achieving objectives and overall long-term success. For this to reflect, we offer both vocational and development programmes to train and maintain service excellence and expertise. As a result, our people are professional in that they are fully qualified and highly knowledgeable regarding BEE principles, especially in terms of legislation and policy.

Our extensive experience in assessing, verifying and validating both disclosed and undisclosed BEE-related information for entities enables us to provide efficient support services.

We’re further committed to the principles of the Employment Equity Act and firmly endorse the four key areas of occupational justice:
  1. Elimination of discrimination in decision-making
  2. Promotion of employee diversity
  3. Introduction of measures and procedures for transformation
  4. Reduction of barriers to the advancement of the disadvantaged

With the help of our multi-dimensional approach, we’re able to address the BBBEE drive as stipulated in the Department of Trade and Industry’s Codes of Good Practice. This model encompasses the following factors:

  • Ownership
  • Management
  • Employment Equity
  • Skills Growth
  • Preferential Procurement
  • Socio-Economic Development

Acknowledged as one of South Africa’s top 300 national organisations for supporting the initiative, we make our commitment to real and tangible transformation evident. In addition, we’re also commended on our placement in the top 33 high-growth companies within South Africa’s economic environment. It’s with pride that we continually strive to better ourselves, most importantly by aiming to improve our Level 2 BBBEE status.
