Industry Training & Skills Development Services

Image of training at Mogale Business ParkBOSASA IFM has an ethos of developing individuals, which has become a part of the internal culture of our company; it’s a philosophy of empowerment that underlies everything we do.

We constantly strive to ensure that we provide our employees with an environment in which they can learn and grow. For example, we have trained in excess of 40 000 people, through our catering contracts with the Department of Correctional Services; our Youth Centres are developed around training courses for young people giving them opportunities at starting better lives; and the Watson Institute of Business Leadership, our corporate university, provides essential skills training and skills transfer programs for our entire organisation. BOSASA IFM is a provider of ABET-accredited and NQF registered education programmes, which serve as a foundation towards further learning and development.

These skills and knowledge programmes are designed to target the specific needs of their participants and are structured to provide access to nationally recognised certificates.

Our diverse experience in all areas of business support services means that we are able to create and facilitate numerous training programmes, with the potential for SETA accreditation, as a value added service for our clients. Our experience extends, but is not limited to:
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Catering training and food preparation
  • Security industry training
  • Educational training
  • Software use
  • Compliance systems

Our skills development services are partnered with the certified accreditation of bodies such as:

  • Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA)
  • National Qualifications Framework (NQF)
  • ISO/HACCP compliance
  • Umalusi Council for Quality Assurance
  • South African Facilities Management Association (SAFMA)
  • Association of BEE Verification Agencies (ABVA)
  • Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)
  • Pan African Council for Surveillance Technologists (PACST)
  • HTA School of Culinary Art

    • Training Facilities

We can facilitate training at any of our fully equipped venues around the country, such as Mogale Business Park, where a diverse range of SETA accredited courses are offered. Our facilities are equipped with the latest information and communication technology - matching global benchmarked standards. State-of-the-art training facilities are complimented by four-star accommodation and on-site catering, which provides nutritious meals for trainees. Additionally, on-site training remains one of our specialties.
