She has completed a B.A. in Social Science with the University of Limpopo (UL), as well as an Honours Degree in Probation and Correctional Practice with the University of Cape Town (UCT). ‘Sis Thandi’ as she is known, has acquired a Master’s degree in ‘investigating and understanding adolescents who are awaiting trial’ within our youth development centres. She is currently embarking on her PhD. Her chief focus is on the global concern of healthy childhood development, an area of her life that she’s deeply passionate about.

Thandi started with BOSASA more than 15 years ago has been an integral force for most of that time. With her unmatched experience within the Group, she’s a pioneer in shifting the relevant social and business paradigms. She’s also transformed the way educators approach youth programmes, with a strong dedication to positive change. She’s guided the implementation of her holistic vision as it expanded from one centre to thirteen – across South Africa. In addition to this, the programmes she’s developed have encouraged children to become integrated members of society.

Sis Thandi’s extensive experience in the running of the BOSASA Youth Development Centres and their 13 secure care facilities has been a critical enabler to fostering the link between people, processes and the physical environments they operate within.
Environmental Responsibility - At BOSASA IFM, we’ve developed ecologically conscious methods of operation, which reflect the Group’s policy of sensitivity to the environment.
